  For a non smoking room it used to be, no doubt about it! The bathroom floor crackled when I walked on it, fridge didn't work, no coffee pot (good thing I had my Keurig), carpets were stained and old, wifi was ok when I could get a signal. The lady at the front counter was nice and friendly but the guy the next morning was cussing and swearing while training a new employee, yikes!! Overall a nice enough place to lay your head for the night and carry on.

  While taking a trip from Ontario to Alberta, this motel was one of 4 motels I stopped at. Southshore Motor Lodge in Wynyard SK was by far the worst experience! First, the thermostat in my room wasn't working and it was boiling. I didn't open the windows because of the second issue I had with this place. Complaining to the front desk didn't solve anything even though she said she would "look into it" - and no follow up either to see if I was satisfied. Second, apparently this motel is also a tavern (attached to the back of the motel). There are no signs to indicate this from the road I came in from. All night long I had the pleasure of hearing a bunch of drunks yelling and cursing as they stepped outside to smoke and stagger home. The music was blasting all night which travelled throughout the motel. This continued until about 3am. I ended up getting about 2-3 hours sleep before I had to hit the road to continue my trip. Horrible experience and don't recommend this hotel to anybody! Sleep in your car and save the $75. You'd be better off.
